I’ve never been to therapy before. What should I expect?

Therapy is the process of helping you achieve your practical and/or emotional goals.  Therefore, you can expect the first session or two to be focused on understanding your current challenges and goals.  After that, your therapist will create a treatment plan in order for you to create the change you desire.  Your therapist will use a warm, transparent and non-judgmental approach throughout the process.

What if I don’t live in the Del Mar / Carmel Valley Area?

This is not a problem because Sean uses both in-person and virtual therapy (online therapy).

How long will therapy take?

While there is no definitive answer to this question, on average, cognitive-behavioral therapy is much quicker than traditional talk-therapies.  One reason for this is because you will be expected to do self-help work in between sessions.
